Airbnb has become one of my favourite apps when travelling. Airbnb has allowed me to find new places that I may not have been able to explore without it. There are a lot of interesting places to explore through Airbnb, and that is what we all look for when we travel. When I travel, I prefer completely immersing myself in the environment, and Airbnb gives me that opportunity.
With Airbnb, you won’t find generic amenities that are common to all listings. Instead with Airbnb, you get a more authentic, unique experience, and each experience is unlike any other. Also, staying in Airbnbs is usually cheaper than staying in fancy hotels (especially for road trips).
In a nutshell, we are here to find unique and creative ways to use Airbnb to make every experience better while spending less.
1. Check out the Airbnb Plus verified homes
Airbnb Plus verified homes feature highly-rated properties. The accommodations have all the necessities, like fully equipped kitchens and amenities for families and self-check-in for business trips. The best thing about Airbnb Plus is that it doesn’t have to be more expensive than regular Airbnb rentals. In this way, you may get a higher level of comfort for the same price.

2. Enjoy more savings with Airbnb experiences
On the homepage of the app, you will find the ‘Experiences’ tab. Don’t ignore this feature and I highly recommend you take full advantage. The Airbnb Experiences tab allows you to schedule classes/workshops, browse concerts, explore art and history as well as nature activities.
3. Check out the ‘instant book’ feature
Airbnb’s ‘instant book’ feature is a productive hack for the busiest travellers. Bookings made through Instant Book listings do not require host approval. Instead, select your travel dates and discuss check-in plans with your host afterwards, therefore making it easier for you to instantly book your stay. Using the ‘instant book’ feature does not incur any additional fees.

4. Get into a conversation with the host and try to haggle
You may consult the Airbnb host of your potential booking if you plan a week-long or two-week vacation where you do not plan on moving between hotels to find the best deal. You can also ask for a discount if you stay for a longer period.
The hosts usually offer these sorts of discounts, but sometimes you may have to ask and haggle for a better rate for the duration of your stay.

5. Try to become a ‘Super Host’ on Airbnb
When we browse for properties to book on Airbnb, we look for hosts that are ‘Super Hosts’. This way, I can be sure I will be shown an excellent experience and I will get my money’s worth.
You must meet the following requirements to become a ‘Super Host’
⬤ At least 10 trips completed
⬤ Maintained a 50% review rate or higher
⬤ Maintained a 90% response rate or higher
⬤ No cancellations, with exceptions made for those that fall under our Extenuating Circumstances policy
⬤ Obtain a 5-star review at least 80% of the time
