Port Blair, the capital of Andaman and Nicobar, is a romantic honeymoon destination for those who would like to experience secluded beach holidays with a touch of history and adventure. South Andaman Island is one of the finest places to visit in India. It is at a distance of 1400 km from mainland India.

Port Blair has a number of attractions inland that can keep you occupied when you want to get away from the beaches. Try scuba diving or glass-bottom boats to explore the underwater ecosystems and coral reefs.

Port Blair’s must-see places are as follows:

1.North Bay Island

One of the favourite places in Port Blair to visit is North Bay Island, which is known for its underwater corals. Adventure lovers flock to the island for the thrills of snorkelling, scuba diving, and sea walking offered by multiple clubs. North Bay Island is always crowded due to this reason.

2.Mount Harriet National Park

Mount Harriet National Park, the pride of Port Blair, is a collection of a few mountains adorned with a lot of wilderness, greenery, and wildlife. A forest area surrounding the park was carved away to provide tourists with easier access to enjoy the exquisite beauty of nature. With its dense evergreen and semi-evergreen forest, Mount Harriet is the highest peak in the Andaman group of islands.

3.Samudrika Marine Museum

Samudrika Marine Museum, one of the top attractions in Port Blair, is guarded by the Indian Navy. This gives visitors access to the finest collections of animals and plants of the Andamans. A small aquarium is also available here along with rare fish, plants, animals, and corals. As opposed to visiting the beaches and relishing islands, this museum is a unique attraction on the island.

Although Corbyn’s Cove Beach is not as famous as other beaches in Port Blair, it is still a favourite of many due to the tranquillity and comfort it offers.

5.Limestone Caves

For different reasons, the limestone caves in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Baratang Island are incredibly famous. You can enjoy boat rides on the beautiful rivers, shallow caves in limestone, mud volcanoes, and mangrove forests that make up much of the island. There are several things to witness and do here besides the thick mangrove forests. Baratang is a popular destination on Andaman tours because of the caves made of limestone which have glowing structures that are several hundred years old.

6.Cinque Island

Cinque Island is the major part of Andaman Island that consists of South Cinque Island and North Cinque Island. In the middle of Rutland and Passage Islands, this dive spot is famous for its underwater diving. The popular Duncan Passage passes through its northern side. The beauty of the island amazes every tourist who visits it. There is a beautiful sandbar separating each part of the island.
