1.Skiing
Travelling to a snowy hill station at an elevation of about 2000m and not skiing is almost next to impossible. The stunning hills, which are covered with coniferous and oak forests, provide the ideal slopes for skiing. The ideal locations include Dunagiri, Nar Parbat Haathi Parbat, Ghori Parbat, Mana Parbat, Mount Nanda and Nilkanth.

2.Auli Ropeway
The ropeway is 4 km long and is a major attraction in Auli. It runs from Auli to Joshimath. A scenic view of the majestic Himalayas can be enjoyed on the way. This ropeway is Asia’s second-highest and longest after Gulmarg. A cable car ticket costs INR 1000 per person, and a chair lift ticket costs INR 300. They both feature sensor-fitted remote braking and storm warning systems. The trip takes around 25 minutes.

3.Auli Artificial Lake
Auli artificial lake perched on a pristine mountain ridge at a staggering elevation of 3000 meters. This lake is the largest artificial lake in the world. The Govt has erected this artificial lake to provide artificial snow on the ski slopes during sparse rainfall. This scenic lake has contributed to prolonging the ski season in Auli. It also offers breathtaking views. An evening spent at the lake will surely make you forgive all your woes.

4.Gorson Bugyal
Gorson Bugyal is a picturesque meadow, just 3 km from Auli Uttarakhand. This path is lined with trees, making it a popular trekking destination. You can trek uphill, but ensure that you return by evening as there is no accommodation available at Gorson. A trek to Auli Gorson Bugyal can be an exhilarating excursion even if trekkers are going with their families. The trek provides an opportunity to observe flora and fauna, as well as to understand village life.

5.Chattrakund Lake
The lake of sweet water is located at an elevation of 3300 meters above sea level. It is located only 4 km from Auli, in the vicinity of Gorson Bugyal. You can get there by hiking a short distance, where you can escape the crowded slopes of Auli. Once you are captivated by its splendour, you will have a hard time moving away from the calm and placid landscape.
6.Chenab Lake
Chenab Lake is considered as one of the lesser-known trekking routes in the Garhwal Himalaya. It is located near Thaing Village, which is past Joshimath. As you approach the lake, you can see the peaks of Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot and Dronagiri. This water body is surrounded by oaks and deodar trees, which makes it a treat to the eyes, especially for nature lovers.
